Meet the Owners of The Happy Puppy

We are Aimee & Martin, long-term couple and lover of dogs.

We were lucky to share our lives with two beloved shih-tzu poodles, Maisy and Maiya—the original happy pups behind our business. After 13 wonderful years with Maiya and 16 years with Maisy, we said our goodbyes in 2024 and 2025. They’ll always be at the heart of what we do.

The newest addition to our Happy Puppy family will be a female Cockapoo puppy who will be joining us mid Summer 2025!

We have been dog sitting through Rover since 2017 and found it to be one of the most rewarding decisions we ever made. We have loved opening our home to so many different dogs over the years.

In 2023 we decided to become independent, fully insured pet sitters and The Happy Puppy was born!

Aimee runs her own integrative medicine practice as a nurse practitioner and works from home full-time. Martin is a professional ballroom dance teacher.

At The Happy Puppy, we understand the importance of providing exceptional care for your furry family members even when you are away. Our dog boarding services are designed to give your dogs a comfortable and enjoyable experience, ensuring their well-being and happiness throughout their stay.

MAISY

Maisy was the original happy puppy—our oldest and wisest girl. In her later years, she took on the calm spirit of an introverted cat, happiest curled up for a nap, cuddling her favorite toy, or enjoying a stroll in her doggy stroller.

MAIYA

Maiya was our gentle soul, full of love despite the challenges life handed her. Though cancer eventually took much of her lower jaw and her back left leg, it never touched her spirit. We said goodbye in March 2024, but she’ll forever be one of the original happy puppies.

Mission Statement

Our mission at the Happy Puppy is to provide exceptional and personalized care for your canine family members in the comfort of our home. We understand that your dogs are not just pets, but cherished companions, and we are dedicated to ensuring their happiness, safety, and well-being while you are away.
